Description
Zero is a Post-Minimalist piece for solo piano. It is roughly ten minutes in legthand is technically advanced.

zero was written in January 2004 in New York City for the pianist Füreya Ünal. The title comes from the book “Zero” by Charles Seife. The idea of zero, or the negation of existence is an invention of the Babylonians. It is fascinating that one of the most
important creations of humanity, allowing great freedom and creativity in mathematics, is the concept of non-existence. Today, zero lies at the heart of one of the biggest scientific controversies of all time, the quest for the theory of everything, the Grand Unified Theory
(GUT).
